Please read this story about the new NPR series My Guilty Pleasure, in which writers talk about the books they love privately but would (usually) never share in public.
I love this article because heterosexual male author, Brad Meltzer, discusses his passion for the Twilight series. I, too, am a fan, though I have a sort of love/hate relationship with the protagonist, Bella. I even made the Bunny watch the movie with me, and, yes, I have a huge crush on Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). There is something kind of delicious about having ridiculous infatuations at this age.

People can knock Twilight all they want, but the books are enjoyable. My husband is annoyed at my crush on Pattinson.
Alas, Brad Meltzer wrote the only book I've ever thrown across the room in disgust, when he described a woman screaming in "a perfect C-minor chord."
I enjoyed the movie, even the sillier parts. Lately the wife has taken to renting it on PPV. Three times so far.
After I finish my current book, I may check the books out.
We have more in common than I would have admitted upon our first meeting. Are you coming to the next potluck?
I love the fact that your post about Twilight got so many comments.
Randy-- Don't hate, fool.
Ashley-- Amanda invited me, but we are going to be in Memphis Saturday for Memphis Hates You, so coming back on Sunday is out, but I will come to more this summer for sure. I'd love to hang out sometime.
Winnie-- People just have strong emotions about entertaining, low art. You know I think Twilight has shitty writing, but Steph Meyer tells a good story, and it made me feel like a teen again.
You're right. She was clearly a Tuvan throat screamer.
Thanks for the link! And you're welcome for pushnig you over the edge...
